Escapade à la Mornington Peninsula

Nous avons passé un long we dans la Mornington Peninsula. Les garçons ont manqué l’école le vendredi (hi!hi!). Au menu les Peninsula Hot Spring le vendredi, une randonnée sur la Coastal Walk le samedi et une rencontre avec les kangourous sauvages le dimanche.
La Mornington Peninsula est une région à l’Est de la Baie de Port Phillip qui s’étend jusqu’à la pointe de Portsea. C’est une campagne accessible pour un long week-end (environ 90 min de Melbourne) où on peut faire tant activités terrestres, que marines et même océaniques. Pas surprenant que ce soit un endroit prisé par les Melbournais pour avoir un chalet.

Vendredi: Peninsula Hot Spring

Un spa extérieur d’eau de lac thermal sous-terrain. En gros, tu te baignes dans des bains d’eau puisé dans des lacs enfoui à 600m sous-terre. Comme l’eau est près du centre de la terre, elle est à 43°!!
Le plus beau là-dedans c’est que ça aussi c’est Family friendly! Les enfants peuvent aller dans la majorité des installations dont certains sont adaptés spécialement pour eux. Il y a aussi une section réservée uniquement aux adultes. Chacun y trouve son compte.
Un bel exemple est les petits tonneaux pour se tremper les pieds ou le corps pour les plus petits!!!


Samedi: Coastal walk though the Sorento back beach!!

Notre première randonnée en sol Australien.
On doit avouer que ça a pris un petit temps au gars pour comprendre pourquoi l’activité était de « marcher », mais …
les paysages étaient vraiment à couper le souffle…

Après un peu moins de 2km, nous sommes arrivée à destination: la Sorento back beach! Superbe plage quasi déserte où on a pu picniquer, se reposer un peu et surtout dépenser l’énergie qu’il nous restait!!!

 … les paysages époustouflants ont finalement donné un sens au mot « randonnée »!! On est prêt pour la Tasmanie!!

De retour au chalet

Quoi de mieux qu’un feu, des guimauves et un trampoline pour finir la journée!!!

Dimanche: la chasse aux kangourous sauvages!!!

On s’est arrêté dans un champ pour aller marché dans une montage remplie de kangourous sauvages!!!
Une expérience unique!!!
Antoine s’est découvert une passion d’apprivoiseur de kangourous. 
et Édouard, de photographe du National Geographic!!
